This Year's Mark of the Beast

Wired.com brings us this story

The Bush administration on Thursday urged a federal judge to dismiss a lawsuit brought by a group of Amish farmers in Michigan claiming RFID chips required on cattle "are a mark of the beast."

Thank you Amish citizens! What does the government say about this?

In response to the charges, the United States Department of Agriculture wrote (.pdf) Thursday that its RFID tagging program is a voluntary measure to help agricultural officials track bovine and other livestock diseases.

VOLUNTARY?!? I bet...

By the way - I thought bar codes were the mark of the beast. My vote goes with Social Security numbers as the original "beast mark."

Tearing down - starting over

The Blue Phoenix building was dismantled.

That's how it looked before the go-kart track was added.

it's a great building - I didn't "lock" it down and I moved a piece. I was depressed and wanted some "change as well. So I put up another favorite of mine.

I tore down the Warehouse tower on Oxal and set it up on Anneile.

Then the Warehouse tower went up there.

Oxal now with the tower gone.

Now I have more prims available on each of my land areas.

It's more than just rebuilding in Second Life. I may have screwed up in RL again, losing something that meant a lot to me.

I set up shop on the top floor of the tower.

I don't think I'll keep the pink desk chair.
