More Ridgewood storm damage

Walked through Ridgewood and found this toppled tree.





The inside was all rotted out. When it fell it went the opposite direction of the wires - of course it might have bounced off the wires...

Big storm hits NJ

Last night around eight o'clock our electricity went out.

So now it's 4:42 Sunday afternoon and pretty soon it'll be 24 hours with no light, no TV, no electricity, no hot water, no Internet. The cell phone was out for a long time this morning.




There are a lot of trees down in our town and the entire town is without electricity.

It's about 48° outside and it's supposed to get down to about 40 tonight.

No more refueling in Formula One

Refueling is a thing of the past in Formula One auto racing. New rules and procedures have been announced prior to this weekends race in Bangkok.

The cars will be a foot longer and have larger fuel tanks to hold the entire amount needed for the race. Pit stops are estimated to be around 3 seconds after this rule change.

The top 10 starters will also be starting on tires used in qualifying.
